Up for sale we have this used vintage collectible Dicky Dickinson De Scardeburg Sigillium Olde Spaw door knocker . Please study the photos as they are an important part of the item description. First off, this is an estate sale find and in very nice condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The holes for screws are solid and have not be drilled (see photos). Richard or Dicky Dickinson was an English character of old. The first Spaw House (a term used in the early 19th Century) was built and Dicky Dickinson, a great character, was appointed its governor. The waters were sold and dispensed to visitors. I have done nothing to this door knocker as it has great patina! De Scardeburg Sigillium is engrave at the top, Olde Spaw is engrave at the bottom and Dicky Dickinson is engrave on the door knocker plate (see photos). This door knocker measures 6-3/4 inches long by 2 inches at its widest. Indeed an awesome addition to your door knocker collection. Thank you for looking!
