Rare 1940's to 1950's vintage athletic fully zip-up rayon satin sports jersey from Robins Air Force Base in Georgia. This jersey is in excellent condition. Looks barely worn.. near new. The number on back is 7 and the front spells out "Robins" in white satin letters upon a red satin background. The AFB on front is in chainstitch. Label reads: "Universal Sports Corportation, 4 East 38th St., New York, N.Y. / Unisport and Tackle Twill, Water Repellent, T.M. Rec U.S. Patent Off., Rayon & 36% cotton / Fabric by Kenner" Also marked 32, but the underarm to underarm measures: 36" so a 34" chest could probably wear also. Fantastic for display or for museum curation.
