Highly collectible vintage M.I. Hummel "Gretl" doll made by Goebel, Germany (Model HUM 1602). Doll stands 11 " tall.
This charming doll features a hand-painted composition head, arms, and legs with a cloth body. She is dressed in her original traditional folk attire: a brown dress/jumper with a polka-dot apron and felt shoes. She holds a tiny bouquet of flowers.

Original triangular wooden tag reading "GRETL" Original M.I. Hummel.
Comes with the original Goebel box (marked "Hummelwerk... HUM 1602").
A wonderful piece of Goebel/Hummel history for doll or figurine collectors.
Condition: Good vintage condition for its age. The composition material shows common crazing/cracking on the face and limbs, typical for composition dolls from this era (c. 1960s). Box shows wear and tear.
