A beautiful vintage small brass pedestal vase, originating from India likely dating to the Mid-20th Century (1960s–1980s), a common period for this style of export. The surface decoration is created using etching/engraving, where detailed floral and leaf motifs are carved into the brass. The recessed areas are then filled with an opaque, colored material, likely a cold enamel or lacquer, primarily in orange-red tones, contrasting with the natural brass. Features a narrow neck with a flared rim and a wide, supportive pedestal base.
