This is a limited edition Hanafuda (Japanese playing cards) set, "Hanafuda Phoenix," sold at the BONUS STAGE shop inside the Nintendo Museum, limited to one item per person.
"Hanafuda Phoenix" is a luxurious, Nintendo Museum-exclusive Hanafuda set. Gold is used for the card decorations and printing, making it sparkle differently from regular Hanafuda, a "special edition."
By the way, "Phoenix" was originally the name of a card manufacturing brand, used for regular Hanafuda and Hyakunin Isshu (a Japanese anthology of one hundred poems by one hundred poets). This "Hanafuda Phoenix" follows that tradition, a Nintendo original "Phoenix" model.
Due to its luxurious feel and limited availability, it's popular for "display" and "collection" purposes ⭐︎
Among the products at the Nintendo Museum, this item allows you to feel the history of Nintendo the most. Unlike regular Hanafuda, it features an original cosmetic box and the Hanafuda cards themselves are lavishly decorated with gold.
