Some history
The Lesney 11b ERF petrol tanker was a scaled up version of the previous model which joined the Matchbox 1-75 series in 1958,
It kept the same colour scheme which was red with a 22mm 'Esso' decal on the rear of the tank,
It's grille, headlights and fuel tanks were trimmed in silver by hand, Later mask spraying was introduced and the trim on the fuel tanks was omitted.
