Ayvi (Ivy in English) is a positive spirit aged 41. She was a Russian bride in an arranged marriage. She moved with her family to California, as there was work there for her husband. This was the time of the California gold rush, and her husband gained employment as a miner. He was very critical of her, especially of what she did in her free time- he thought she should always be cooking and cleaning the house, tending to their children, and have no time to herself. He was abusive in some ways to her. One day he died in the mines and Ayvi was left to raise the children herself. She passed in a car crash with one of her kids- an event she describes as “sudden, loud, and cruel”. She had always been a religious individual and kept that sentiment in the afterlife, now feeling “purified” from any and all troubles she went through in life. She collected vases, liked anything marble, and enjoyed making art- specifically drawing and painting. She is 24” porcelain and cloth with stand.
