Antique 19th Century Enamel, Turquoise Pendant, Solid Silver Genre Painting, Pastoral Scene "Favorite Lamb" from Charles Eisen's 18th Century Image. This lovely pendant features a genre painting celebrating "pastoral tradition". It is a variation of "Le Mouton Cheri" by Robert Gaillard (1722-1785) after Charles Eisen's (1720-1778) popular 18th century painting, which the original is lost. It is in very good antique condition except for a minor scratch on the enamel. French, perhaps English, c.1880. This pendant was a locket or brooch that was expertly transformed into a pendant. There is a solid 14kt jump ring that has been added. Looks beautiful hanging from a chain. 4 grams, 30mm x 20mm.
