This is a Carhartt canvas vest made in 1976.
It has a Carhartt patch, but the paper tag is different, so it's likely a special order from that time.
The sturdy yellow canvas material with orange piping is very stylish.
It has four pockets on the front, one large pocket on the back, and two pockets inside, making it a very practical vest.
