1970s Native American NAVAJO Sterling Turquoise MOP Coral Pendant Bead Necklace

This is a beautiful vintage sterling silver Navajo-made statement necklace featuring a bold modernist pendant set with turquoise, mother of pearl, and coral cabochons. The stones are bezel set and accented with sculptural elements including a fan shape, curved form, and sterling raindrops, all framed within a unique two-part curved silver structure accented with decorative hashmarks. The pendant is permanently affixed to a striking strand of alternating bench and elongated melon beads—bench beads in 8mm and 12mm sizes and impressive 31mm long melon beads. The necklace is strung on link chain for strength and finished with a sturdy hook and eye clasp. Though unsigned, which is common for vintage Native American pieces, the craftsmanship and style speak to its Navajo origin and 1970s roots.
