1946 Pickands Mather Magazine Complete Series Iron Ore House Organ Adv Cleveland.

These 4.5" x 7", 24-page magazines were produced by the Pickands Mather Co., which sold pig iron, iron ore, coal and coke, as an advertisement to their industrial customers. Unusual to find a complete run and in such good condition.

Each booklet contains a plethora of pithy sayings, anecdotes, and trivia, with a short centerfold article on a piece of American history.

Cover themes include: Peter Stuyvesant and the sale of Manhattan Island; Benjamin Franklin and Poor Richard; The Spirit of ‘76 and the Battle of Bunker Hill. Please see photographs for more.

These are vintage magazines in very good condition. There may be minor imperfections, paper yellowing, dog eared pages, etc. but all have saddle stapled bindings intact, all pages, no major stains or damage, whole covers. They emit a faint musty odor like many old library books. It is not overpowering, and can be easily mitigated. A nice collection.
