1944 Vintage British Army Surplus Canteen Water Bottle Aluminum 81 Years Old

This is a British Army 1944 pattern water bottle.
It is a predecessor to the current plastic '58 pattern water bottle and has a similar shape.
Introduced at the end of World War II, it was also used in combat in Malaya. This bottle is an early version with a flat metal cap attached with a chain, which was later replaced with a plastic cap. The bottle has no markings and is believed to be made in Britain, but this is not 100% certain. For example, the Danish army also adopted this type of bottle in the 1950s. The bottle has been used, but is in very good condition.
