Original 1930s DuPont "Duco" enamel paint display sign, featuring the slogan "It's almost like play using Duco -- It dries so quickly." These colorful point-of-sale displays were distributed to hardware and paint stores to promote Duco, DuPont's fast-drying lacquer line used on furniture and early automobiles. The bright green background and stylized chair design are classic examples of early industrial-era advertising art.
Measures 12x18 inches with light surface wear and light age toning. Some wear and surface loss at the top right part of chair die-cut. The original fold-out easel back is intact and functional. Displays beautifully and represents one of the best-known early household brands from DuPont's paint division.
A scarce and authentic pre-war advertising piece, ideal for collectors of early paint, hardware, or DuPont memorabilia.
